Industrial Asbestos Removal

Heavy-duty asbestos removal for factories, plants, and industrial facilities throughout NSW.

About This Service

Industrial facilities often contain the most hazardous forms of asbestos — friable insulation, pipe lagging, boiler rooms, and spray-applied coatings. Our industrial removal team is equipped and trained for the highest-risk asbestos work, including Class A friable removal under full negative pressure enclosures.

Asbestos On Industrial Sites

Industrial premises built before the mid-1980s often contain asbestos in volumes and forms that simply do not appear in housing. Sprayed limpet insulation on structural steel, lagging on boilers, flues and pipe runs, gaskets and rope seals in plant, electrical panel backing, and acres of corrugated cement roofing and wall cladding.

The mix matters because it changes the job. Bonded cement sheeting on a warehouse roof is a very different proposition to friable lagging in a confined plant room, and they are not scoped, priced or programmed the same way.

Scale, Staging And Shutdowns

Industrial removal is usually planned around production rather than the other way round. Work gets staged into shutdown windows, isolated zones, or areas taken out of service in sequence so the rest of the site keeps running.

That planning is most of the value. We scope the site, agree the staging with you, and give you a fixed price and a program before anything is touched. On a site where an unplanned day of downtime costs more than the removal itself, a program that holds is worth more than a cheap rate.

Mr Asbestos holds asbestos removal licence AD214680 and is fully insured for industrial work.

Disposal At Volume

Industrial jobs generate waste by the tonne rather than the sheet, and that changes the logistics. Material is wrapped and sealed as it comes down, loaded under controlled conditions, and transported to a facility licensed by the NSW EPA to receive asbestos in that quantity.

You receive disposal documentation for the full volume. On an industrial site that record usually ends up in the asbestos register and in the compliance file, so it needs to be complete rather than approximate.

Sites We Work On

Factories and manufacturing plants, warehouses and distribution sheds, workshops, older processing facilities, and industrial buildings being decommissioned or repurposed.

The common thread is that asbestos is rarely the project. It is the thing standing between the project and its start date — a roof that has to come off before the new one goes on, lagging that has to go before the plant is replaced, cladding that has to be dealt with before demolition can be approved.

Scoped early, it is a line item with a known price and a known duration. Discovered mid-project, it is a stoppage. The difference is almost always whether somebody looked before the program was written.

Common Questions

Can you work during a planned shutdown?
Yes, and that is usually how industrial removal is best programmed. Give us the shutdown window when you call and we will tell you honestly whether the scope fits it.
Do you remove asbestos from plant and pipework?
Lagging on pipes, boilers and flues, gaskets and seals in plant, and electrical panel backing are all common on industrial sites. Scope it with us at the inspection so the removal method and the program are right from the start.
How is a large roof removal handled?
Corrugated cement roofing is removed sheet by sheet wherever possible rather than broken up, with the area below controlled and the material wrapped as it comes down. Access, weather and staging drive the program more than the removal itself.
What does an industrial asbestos removal cost?
Too variable to quote blind — material type, volume, access and staging all move the number. We inspect and quote a fixed price. Call 0449 960 184.
Do you provide a program before starting?
Yes. Industrial work is scoped, staged and priced before anything is touched, because on most industrial sites an unplanned day of downtime costs more than the removal itself.
