Asbestos Removal Leichhardt

Leichhardt is known for its Italian heritage and well-preserved Victorian terrace houses. Many of these properties underwent renovations in the 1950s–1980s that introduced asbestos-containing materials. Our team provides comprehensive removal services for Leichhardt homeowners and businesses.

Leichhardt's workers' cottages and semis were heavily renovated through the 1960s, 1970s and 1980s, and that is the era the asbestos comes from. It is typically found in rear additions and enclosed verandahs, in bathroom and kitchen linings, in garage and carport walls and roofs, in the flat sheet used for dividing fences between properties, and under vinyl floors laid over the original boards. Backyard sheds and old laundries at the rear of the block are almost always fibro.

The narrow frontages and single-width driveways in Leichhardt make the waste route the first thing we plan. Work areas are sealed, floors and paths are protected, and sheets are carried out in full panels to the truck rather than broken down on site. Where a shared fence is being replaced, we agree the scope with both owners beforehand, so the removal, the disposal and the new fence all happen in one coordinated visit instead of three.

Every Leichhardt job finishes with a paper trail. Owners receive confirmation of what was removed, disposal receipts from a licensed facility, and a clearance certificate where the work requires one. That documentation is worth keeping: it is what a purchaser's solicitor, a council officer or an insurer will ask for later, and it saves an owner from having to prove after the fact that material was removed lawfully by a licensed contractor.
