Asbestos Removal Hurstville

Hurstville and the St George area contain significant quantities of post-war housing built with asbestos cement products. The region's active renovation and development market creates ongoing demand for professional asbestos services.

Our team provides comprehensive removal services for residential and commercial properties throughout the St George area, following strict SafeWork NSW protocols.

Hurstville's post-war brick and fibro homes are being replaced at pace, and demolition is where most asbestos exposure now happens in the area. Older houses commonly hold it in eaves, wet-area linings, garages, sheds and fences, and in the sheeting under floors and around hot-water services. Unit blocks from the 1960s and 1970s carry it in bathroom and laundry linings, meter cupboards and the building's own eaves and roof sheeting.

Knockdown-rebuild projects need the asbestos removed and cleared before the machines arrive. We survey the property, strip the asbestos materials from the house and outbuildings, dispose of them lawfully and hand the site to the demolisher with documentation. Doing it in that order keeps the demolition straightforward and avoids the far more expensive situation where a whole demolition load is contaminated and has to be handled as asbestos waste.

Owners and builders should also be clear on the fence line. Shared fibro fences are jointly owned in most cases, so removal is best agreed with the neighbour in advance and done as a single job rather than cut down the middle. We can quote the fence as part of the wider removal, remove it safely, and leave the boundary ready for the replacement to go straight in.
